Q: What’s included in the price for a guided trip?
A: Everything needed for a day of fishing. Rods, reels, bait, lures, safety gear, etc.
Q: Do I need to bring anything with me?
A: A current fishing license is needed. Also we highly recommend water, snacks, proper attire, and anything else that you think you’ll need for 5-8 hours.
Q: Are your guided trips for beginners?
A: We like to cater the trips to the client’s desires. If you’re a beginner and need a little more TLC we take the time to walk you through whatever is needed for your fishing trip. Having some skill helps but we’ve taken plenty of people out with no experience and see them have success on the water.
Q: Where are you out of?
A: We fish out of multiple places throughout the year. Different times of the season in addition to target species dictates where we go out of. Unless an exact location is agreed on at the time of booking, we make the call on location 24-48 hours prior to trip.
Q: Can I bring my own kayak?
A: Absolutely! We even give you a discount for it. As long as it’s a pedal driven or motorized kayak. We move around a lot and wouldn’t be comfortable making you paddle great distances against any strong current.
Q: Are deposits refundable?
A: Deposits are non-refundable. If we decide that the trip can’t go due to weather then we will gladly refund your deposit.
Q: How many people can you accommodate?
A: From both kayak and shore we can accommodate up to 4 people. In some situations we can do more.
Q: Should I use the online booking tool or contact you to book a trip?
A: The online booking tool is awesome for contactless easy payment. However if you qualify for an agreed upon discount you won’t be able to do that using the online booking tool. We always love for people to reach out to us first.
Q: What will happen if I lose or damage gear during a trip?

In addition to a high quality fleet of kayaks, we use excellent gear that cost just about as much if not more than the trip. Apologies are always appreciated however they don’t cover expensive fishing gear.
Q: Can I bring my own fishing gear?

Q: I’m new to fishing, should I do kayak or shore fishing?
A: Both! If you’ve never touched a rod and reel before or thrown a cast the first trip that you do should probably be a shore fishing trip. Shore fishing allows you a less hectic environment to learn basic skills needed to be successful on the water. After an awesome shore fishing trip we highly recommend that you try a kayak fishing trip as well. We give discounts for booking the combo!
Q: Do you guarantee a fish catch?
A: No we don’t. On 99 percent of our trips clients will catch something, however it may not be the target species. Our guides fish a lot and we know the amount of work it takes to catch the target species. Sometimes the action is lights out and sometimes it’s not. We will spend as much time as we can on the target species however we will offer you an opportunity to try for another species to get some action. Despite our great track record we don’t promise anything except for a working knowledge of the fishery, mastery of techniques used throughout the day, a great feel for what kayak and/or shore fishing is all about, and learn about marine electronics.
Q: What if I need to end the trip early?
A: On every trip booked, your guide(s) will be ready to be on the water with you from start to finish. However if you decide to end the trip early for whatever reason, that’s totally up to you!
Q: Can I upgrade from a half day to a full day while out on the water?
A: If your guide(s) have the time available you can absolutely do so.
Q: Is it possible to bring my young child?
A: We like to deal with this question on a case by case basis. For shore fishing we highly recommend bringing children as they can actually learn in a calm environment. In our experience taking children out between the ages of 8-14 on a kayak fishing trips we find that their legs get tired while we are moving around to find a bite. In the event that you just want your child to experience kayak fishing with you we can put you in a tandem kayak.
Q: What if I flip over?
A: We try to talk you through every scenario possible to prevent flipping from happening but if it does we will get you back in the kayak right away.
